Welcome to the IMG-BC Program Registration System. All applicants must use this system for application to the IMG-BC Program.
Applicants must have received an IMG-BC ID and password to access the online application system.
Once the applicant receives his or her IMG-BC ID and password the applicant must login to the IMG-BC online application system and complete the registration process. The IMG-BC ID and password will be used throughout the application process and assessment period.
Applicants can login a number of times to complete the application. We recommend that applicants complete the application sequentially; however, the online application system allows applicants to move ahead and refer back to sections if so required. Each section must be completed and submitted for the applicant’s file to be updated.
All online applications (including a signed application form) must be complete by February 1st. Documents received after February 1 will not be accepted. If the deadline date is on a weekend the deadline will move to the next business day.
Application Status:
Applicants can check their application status throughout the registration and application process. Applicants will be provided updates on-line regarding the status of their application as well as receipt and approval of submitted documents.
If applicants fail to meet any requirements at any time (i.e., submission of documents or fees by the designated deadlines) or if the application is deemed incomplete by the designated deadlines or if the applicant submits false or misleading information, the candidate’s application will be discontinued immediately and the applicant notified.

Documents required for the IMG-BC Program Online Application System:
- IBT TOEFL Result with a score of no less than 95 and 25 on the spoken component or IELTS band 7 or higher on each component.
- Medical Degree: Copy acceptable – does not have to be notarised; or Proof of current participation in final year of medical training.
- Translation of Medical Degree: (if not issued in English) – must be translated in Canada or bear the Seal of a Canadian Embassy. Must be a signed original or a notarised photo-copy.
- Medical School Transcripts: Copy only – does not have to be notarised
- Translation of Transcripts ( if not issued in English): must be translated in Canada or bear the Seal of a Canadian Embassy. Must be a signed original or a notarised photo-copy.
- MCCEE Pass required – Copy of results letter acceptable
- MCCQE Part I OPTIONAL – Copy of results letter acceptable
- MCCQE Part II OPTIONAL – Copy of results letter acceptable
- Personal Letter - a brief letter of intent – digital or hard copy
- Photograph – recent picture either digital or hard copy
- Application form – completed on-line and a hard copy submitted
