| Aug. 7, 2024 | DEADLINE: Sharing of identity/citizenship document, medical diploma, MCCQE Part 1 and NAC Examination results on physiciansapply.ca Identity/citizenship document and medical diploma1 (and translation, if applicable) must be verified and shared through physiciansapply.ca by 11:59 PM (PDT). MCCQE Part 1 and NAC Examination results must be shared through physiciansapply.ca by 11:59 PM (PDT). Late sharing of documents and examination results is not accepted, with the exception of pending MCC examination results.2 Failure to share the required documents and examination results by the deadline will result in a “Declined” application. | Aug. 7, 2024 | DEADLINE: Submission of proof of Canadian permanent resident status Applicants who shared on physiciansapply.ca a foreign passport (not a Canadian permanent resident card) as their identity document, must submit a copy of their Canadian permanent resident card or Confirmation of Permanent Residence to the IMGBC Office by 11:59 PM (PDT). Submissions after this time are considered late and will not be accepted. Please refer to the Application Process page for instructions. |
| Aug. – Oct. 2024 | IMG CAP Application Review Period Applicants will be notified via email on the status of their application. “Accepted” applications are further reviewed for consideration as candidates for participation in the IMG CAP MMI. Incomplete and ineligible applications will appear as “Declined” . Applications awaiting MCC examination results will appear as “Under Review”. |

| Nov. 16 & 17, 2024 | Live Virtual Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) Candidates who accept their CAP position offer will participate in the 2024 IMG CAP Live Virtual MMI. Note: Applicants planning to participate in other IMG programs’ interviews on these dates are requested to indicate this on their IMG CAP application. This will assist the IMGBC Office in avoiding scheduling conflicts. |
| Nov. 25, 2024 | IMG CAP Results Submission to CaRMS The IMGBC Office submits the CAP letters directly to CaRMS. Letters are sent to candidates after the CaRMS application submission deadline. |
